Others may disagree, but I think this was one of the most creative and genius formats for an episode of Modern Family. From the editing to the plot, it all came together so well.

I really liked the velocity, pacing and motion of each scene and what made me fall in love with the whole episode is when I discovered that it’s not actually a screen recording — the entire thing was basically produced in After Effects – and they recreated OS X Yosemite (icons, windows, sound, animation)!

Because of this, the 22-minute episode took 4 months in post-production, and deservedly won some awards too.
