This reference helped me understand how objects can operate beyond their functional role, particularly within domestic environments, where they begin to shape meaning, behaviour, and identity. It highlights how everyday objects are not neutral, but instead carry cultural, emotional, and symbolic values that influence how we interact with space. Through this, I started to consider how objects can act as mediators between individuals and their surroundings, shaping not only physical use but also perception and experience.
