The Internet Archive hosts a range of scans of old owner’s manuals/instruction manuals and user guides.
I’m really interested in how these publications combine image and type. I’m also interested in the layout design employed. I have an interest in mid century design so these manuals serve as a good visual resource. I would like to similarly experiment with type and image in my own publication as well as experiment with a range of printmaking techniques, including letterpress, screenprinting, and lino etc.
