Future euro banknote design proposals

The European Central Bank launched a competition to design the new Euro banknotes. Designers from all over Europe submitted their proposals to reimagine what they may look like.

I wanted to look at the design of banknotes as it seemed an interesting format to frame my theme of Pan-Africanism, so I wanted to create a centralised united currency among African countries; the designs of the future European banknotes served as inspiration for my future currency designs. I analysed the elements present in the banknote designs and translated them for my own designs.
