032c (bi-annual)

A really strong editorial reference for your work would be 032c. It’s known for its bold, stripped-back layouts, heavy use of sans-serif typography, and a very controlled yet experimental visual language. What stands out to me is how the magazine often combines clinical, almost institutional design with raw or tactile imagery—creating a tension between something that feels designed and something that feels physical or real. It’s not overwhelming but it’s not minimalistic either, which I like because if given a choice, I always go for maximalism.

In my posters, I can see that influence in the way I balance structured typography with organic subject matter. The clean layout, strong hierarchy, and use of space help frame the objects almost like editorial spreads, while still letting them feel immediate and sensory. It’s bold, and grabs attention immediately. Like 032c, I’m interested in creating something that feels both systematic and expressive, where the design gives clarity but doesn’t remove the intensity of the visuals.
