One Shared House

This is an experimental web-documentary made in 2016 by design studio Anton & Irene. Through their innovative and interactive storytelling they show the story of a co-living space in Amsterdam from the late 80s into the 90s. Co-living spaces are like flat shares except with more of a focus on community with your flat mates becoming more like a close bunch of family or neighbours in a close-knit village.

This useful for my first E&E project as a potential housing solution for London in the future because co-living spaces solve two problems – expensive living & loneliness in cities. In my project, a proposed version of London in 2076 that my group & I came to has the cost of living crisis continuing alongside more centralisation towards a more isolating and digital London. Therefore, it made sense to bring this concept into my project as a solution for those issues.
