From Places to Non-Places

How Augé’s Theory Shapes the ATM–Place Flags

Marc Augé’s concept of the non-place describes spaces that are functional, transient, and anonymous such as airports, train stations, supermarkets, and highways. These are environments we pass through without forming attachment, identity, or memory. The Behance project From Places to Non-Places visualises this idea by documenting how modern life is increasingly structured by standardized, interchangeable spaces with no sense of belonging.
