These were two individual graffiti artists of the early 1980s in New York. The relationship between Basquiat and Haring is pivotal for the development and multiplication of street artists over time. The article discusses the connection between them when meeting as ‘Kindred’ which gives the idea that there was a shared instinctive power which they realised in each other.
