Thinking with Type by Ellen Lupton, 2004

We read this book as an assignment in our UConn Typography class. It seems intimidating at first, but having read it all the way through, I have a better understanding of the three main elements of type: letter, text, and grid. I recommend for anyone who wants a better understanding of the history of typefaces or just wants a broad survey of type.
