Dan Hill is a strategic designer and urbanist who challenges conventional design thinking by examining the broader systems and contexts in which design operates. His concept of “dark matter” refers to the often invisible policies, cultures, and systems that shape design outcomes, encouraging designers to think beyond aesthetics to consider systemic change.
